Graham's career journey is a compelling narrative of a deep commitment to humanitarian work that was shaped by his early life experiences. Born in Uganda during the regime of Idi Amin, Graham's family fled the country due to the turbulent political climate. His family settled in South Africa, where his parents, both missionaries, established schools and responded to emergencies, including conflicts in Mozambique.

After completing his studies, Graham’s first role with World Vision was in Bethlehem, where he facilitated dialogue between Israeli and Palestinian students, allowing them to listen to each other and fostering understanding amidst conflict.

Over the next 27 years, Graham grew through many roles within World Vision, beginning with his work in Indonesia following the fall of President Suharto, where he provided humanitarian assistance in conflict zones outside Jakarta.

In 2025, Graham took on the role of CEO with Lifeline Australia. Choosing to apply his unique perspectives and strong commitment to social justice to Lifeline.
