Pushing for Better Mental Health in Geelong and South West Victoria

Ready to take on a challenge that makes a real difference? The Push-Up Challenge 2026 returns from 3 June to 26 June, inviting the Hunter community to come together in support of better mental health.

This is your chance to get active, spark important conversations, and help ensure vital mental health support is there for those who need it most.

Why Take Part in The Push-Up Challenge?

The Push-Up Challenge is about far more than physical strength. It combines movement with learning, connection, and fundraising to support mental health services nationwide.

Since launching in 2017, the challenge has grown into a powerful national movement, with participants:

  • Completing more than 1 billion push-ups together
  • Involving over 600,000 Australians from across the country
  • Raising over $50 million for essential mental health services

By joining, you’ll be helping Lifeline Hunter continue delivering life-saving support alongside thousands of others who believe mental health matters.

How the Challenge Works

Participants aim to complete 3,307 push-ups across 24 days, symbolising the number of Australians who died by suicide in 2024.

You can take part on your own or as part of a team. Using The Push-Up Challenge app, you’ll be able to:

  • Track your daily push-ups
  • Learn more about mental health through daily facts
  • Cheer each other on and enjoy some friendly competition

Every push-up contributes to positive change—locally, nationally, and within your personal community.
