90minutes

A 90-minute information session for leaders to learn how Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) can support the creation of mentally healthy workplaces.

This information session covers the benefits of MHFA, how to support employees experiencing mental health issues, and how to foster a supportive culture. The course does not train participants in MHFA skills but equips them to become champions for the program within their organisations.

What the session teaches:

  • Benefits of MHFA: Participants learn about the expected outcomes and benefits of implementing MHFA programs in the workplace.
  • Recognising and supporting employees: The session provides information on how to identify signs of mental health problems in employees and how to approach and support them.
  • Creating a mentally healthy workplace: It includes practical guidance on how leaders can create a culture of support and manage workplace stress, which can boost employee performance and engagement.
  • The MHFA program: Leaders will gain an understanding of the MHFA program, its outcomes, and how it is implemented.
