Crisis Supporter Training and Commitment
YOUR COMMITMENT
The course is an initial 6-8 week training commitment, followed an 56hr internship period to complete the course within 12 months. Participants are required to attend all training dates to comply.
As this course is offered at a highly subsidised rate, we ask for a two-year commitment as a volunteer, typically 3 – 4 hours a week, as a volunteer to Lifeline Crisis Support.

WHAT WE PROVIDE
Lifeline Direct provides this training on behalf of Lifeline Australia RTO 88036, which complies with the Standards for Registered Training Organisations(RTO) 2015.
The CSWT course comprises nationally recognised Units of Competency, which is designed to train Lifeline Telephone Crisis Supporters.
BENEFITS YOU WILL RECEIVE
To be a Lifeline Accredited Crisis Supporter the minimum requirement is a Statement of Attainment in the three CSWT Units of Competency:
- CHCCCS003 Increase the safety of individuals at risk of suicide
- CHCCCS019 Recognise and respond to crisis situations
- CHCCCS028 Provide client-centred support to people in crisis
To obtain these units of competency this course consists of 3 stages over a 12 month period as outlined in the CSWT Pathway.
THE COST - $550.00
The course cost $550.00 (Inc GST) which is paid (in full) after attendance at the next information evening on the 13 July 2022 - 6.00pm - 7.30pm (via ZOOM), and once accepted into the course. The information evening provides more information about the training and an opportunity to ask questions.
(The financial value of the course is highly subsidised, total value approx. $3,500).
