Growing up in an immigrant family, Maddie put a lot of pressure on herself to be perfect. In Year 10, she reached a turning point that led her to address cultural taboos surrounding mental health.
She went from seeking help to becoming a mental health advocate, sharing her story at mental health seminars and in schools. In this podcast, Maddie discusses her journey with anxiety and depression, the role of family support, and the importance of embracing imperfection.
